FlytBase & DroneBase partner up to provide fully autonomous Drone-in-a-Box solutions in Italy – sUAS News – The Business of Drones
Cloud-based drone-automation software provider FlytBase is delighted to announce their partnership with Italy-based drone manufacturer and service provider DroneBase.
Together, they aim to make scalable drone-in-a-box (DiaB) systems commercially available to businesses for deploying autonomous drone-based security, monitoring, and public safety operations in Italy.
Journey of DBase: The Integrated DiaB Solution
The vision driving FlytBase while building their automation software, FlytNow, has been to bring affordability and ease-of-use to the masses, enabling businesses to realize the potential and efficiency of DiaB technology. Upon studying the market closely and working with subject matter experts across industries such as construction, security, and asset management, FlytBase learned that devising a modular and interoperable system was crucial for their vision to materialize.
In essence, their approach to developing FlytNow was to break down the complexity of a DiaB system by separating and focusing on each of its building blocks—drones, docking stations, and automation software—and adopt a design strategy that offers both high flexibility and reusability to customers based on their specific use case.
Subsequently, FlytBase further learned that they would be able to leverage proven,
readily available drones and collaborate with DiaB manufacturers and system integrators to build and offer a complete integrated solution, together. To this end, they partnered with DroneBase to integrate several drone docking stations and DJI’s Consumer & Enterprise drone series (such as the Mavic 2, Mavic 2 Enterprise, and Matrice series) with FlytNow—creating DBase. Customers would now be able to procure DBase as a ready-to-use solution, saving several precious months in setup and onboarding.
Where DBase Can Be Used
Here’s Elia-Ray Salem, Project Manager, DroneBase with his views on their integrated offering with FlytBase: “As drones continue to become more powerful and permeate several industries, DBase is intended to reduce and eventually eliminate the burden of manual drone piloting, setup, and charging. With mission management and remote
